Challenge
A Nichols customer noticed that their garage wasn't cooling properly and their cooling unit was using an excessive amount of energy to keep the area comfortable. They came to Carolina Energy Conservation in hopes of making the space more energy-efficient and comfortable.
Solution
After conducting an energy evaluation, it was determined that the best solution for this customer was to use open-cell spray foam insulation in the garage. This type of insulation effectively reduces air movement, preventing heat from seeping in through gaps, and allowing for better energy efficiency from the cooling unit. With the open-cell spray foam installed, the garage will be more comfortable in the summer heat and more energy efficient.
